‘Build Peace’
Last August 6 young people from across the Diocese travelled to Finland to take part in a “Build Peace” Camp. They joined with 30 other young people from Finland, Denmark, Lithuania, Hungary and Romania to learn more about each other and issues surrounding ‘peace’. In the peaceful surroundings of the Nuorten Keskus, Finnish Lutheran Youth Centre at Pohjola, near Kerkuu we enjoyed sharing our faith, our culture and our ideas. We hope that next year we may host a similar event in Ireland.
Summer Madness
This year over 60 of our young people joined in Summer Madness in Belfast. The usual mixture of worship, teaching, music and other activcities was enjoyed by all. Again we held a BBQ for the other groups from the Republic of Ireland(over 200 people!) Continuing on from Madness 7 girls took part in the last and biggest Streetreach, tidying gardens, running a Funday for local residents and other activities in the Ballynafeigh area of Belfast.
